About Us
ACT Adoptions and Permanent Care Unit
Provides educational sessions for prospective adoptive and permanent care parents, receives all applications to adopt or provide permanent care, facilitates assessments and post placement supervision for families wishing to adopt children locally or from overseas, or those who have permanent care orders for children through the ACT Children's Court. People may also apply for identifying information about an ACT adoption where the adopted person is over the age of 18yrs and they are the adopted person, the birth parents, the adoptive parent, a birth relative, child or other descendant of the adopted person.
